It's called "tilde", not "backtick", at least where I'm from. You should fix that spelling mistake as it may confuse others.
This is in the debug screen, at the top it says "press (backtick) to close".
The confusion comes from this - on (most?) US keyboards, the backtick (`)(aka the grave) is on the same key as the tilde (~).
So when you tap it, it's actually the backtick that would be produced, and if shift was held, the tilde would print. But nobody knows what a backtick/grave is, so I used both names in places.
I wouldn't use that key at all except it's something of a standard for consoles since the Quake days. Or has that changed, hrm.

Oh. OK, I guess I never really knew the name of that butto--
Wait a minute! You're the last boss from Dink Smallwood!
But I killed you! I think.
You must've reincarnated, or released some kind of Seth virus! Then you came on these forums, and possibly other forums on the planet... oh my god, you're going to get us confused about our own language, up to the point where we won't understand what we're saying anymore. Then we're disorganized, and you can begin your attack!
But I found you out! Now I can defeat you. Um.
Seth, mind helping me? I don't know how to attack someone on these forums. I need to kill you and prevent your evil plot to take over the world from continuing.
Curses, foiled again! :)
