I have, for my sins, recently moved to Vista (ie I haven't had a chance to upgrade my new coputer to XP :p) and am now having problems with the Oh Sh1t! game. Esentially any time my hero collides with one of the barrels, I get a "game.exe has stopped working, Windows is checking for a solution to the problem" message.

I am using the latest version of novashell, dowloaded from the site.

Hrmm... I also use Vista, and it ran without a single error on this end. Is your version of Oh Sh!t modified in any way from the original .rar you put up? If so, maybe I need that version to duplicate the crash.

No it's exactly the same version :(

Tried it with Vista (Service Pack 1) and it runs fine; no crashes when hitting barrels either. What are your system specs like? I'm running it on a dual core Acer Aspire 7720G laptop.

Aside from that, NovaShell shouldn't really just crash without warning, should it? Even if you HAVE accidentally messed with the game's files. If it's not your computer up to weirdness then you may have discovered a bug.

I'm runing an Atlon64 4000+ with 4Gb Ram and Vista home basic. Have tried updating again with the latest Novashell but no luck.

Worse still, I've installed VMWare player and Ubuntu desktop 8 and after extracting the archive to Ubuntu desktop It STILL refuses to work :( This time All I get is a black screen flash followed by a return to the desktop.

All the included games work fine under Windows, so it must be something in Oh Sh!t that Novashell/Vista doesn't like
