The more I use ClanLib the more I realize how much effort has been put into developing it and how much time it took you to make it. I don't understand why you're giving it for free? Its the only c++ game framework out there, I haven't encountered any other. Its making work much easier.

One word . . addiction.
I program it as a hobby.

ClanLib is full of gems, there is so much in there. Around every corner there is different surprise :)

Is this the right time to mention we have a Donations (http://clanlib.org/donations.html) page? :)

Why I do it? Its complicated, but its partly because I find the problems related to game programming interesting to solve, partly because I cannot resist coding things just to see how they end up, and partly because I needed a framework library for myself.

Why free, open source and with a very liberal license? I think the sqlite copyright statement says it very nicely:

The author disclaims copyright to this source code. In place of
a legal notice, here is a blessing:

* May you do good and not evil.
* May you find forgiveness for yourself and forgive others.
* May you share freely, never taking more than you give.

In particular the 3rd part of the blessing is what results in things like Sqlite and ClanLib. :)

Yes, I've noticed that documentation is not fully in sync with the actual lib .. but this is what I like about it, its full of surprises and its mysterious at the same time :) ... (read annoying)

I sure will be donating if I manage to complete the game and then sell it at least 20 times.

Keep up the good work guys!
