I am having color inversion problems

Everytime I start the game it appears normal, but when I start moving all the colors look like a negative of a photo, like they mess up and are all white and purple and jumbly. One time I played and it did not mess up, so i had it on for like 5 hours(good game hehe) and now everytime I have everything like I did that one time and it keeps screwing up the color.

I have tried switching my color settings from 32 bit to everything to 256 color and all that nonsense but nothing is working. I have my guy level 8 and I really want to finish the game but I don't want to play a game that is friked up color. Does anyone have some helpful info for me? It would be greatly appreciated.

Oh I should also mention, whenever it does this, I can go inside a building and it would look normal, but once I walk outside and go maybe 10 seconds or until I get to another screen it friks up again.

dink is a old game so maybe you want to switch it to 16-bit.
