Hi. I'm just getting started with Novashell this weekend and so far I'm encouraged and eager to do some work with it. I'm working on a game with isometric tiles that sometimes overlap a little, but I'm finding the overlapping behavior in the editor to be unpredictable. Is there a way to make sure that newly placed tiles overlap those already placed on the same map level? Thanks!

Hmm, no there isn't. Currently the only control you have over draw order is:

1. You can turn on depth sorting in that layer's properties - this will draw the tiles from top to bottom (sorted on the Y axis) - if the tile/entity has collision, it will use the bottom of the collision shape as the Y. (You can tweak this by using "Dummy" as the collision type if you just want to control it a bit, but don't really care about collision)

This works well for players walking behind trees, etc.

2. You can add unlimited layers, lower layers draw before higher layers. If you have tiles that violate #1, you could just put on a higher layer to force them to draw later.
