I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 I had to chunk in a bunch of packages trying to figure out what met the dependencies to successfully compile the entire package. Maybe we could start a thread to organize what exact packages are needed to install? I should have taken notes! :) Ric

Sure thing. Since the package names vary slightly from distro to another they need to be collected per distro. I have Fedora so I can collect the needed names for this. But Ubuntu needs to handled by somebody else. Anyway, the wiki is editable by anybody, so just add your knowledge there.
