Default The Ultimate Guide to Trading

I decided to start this guide because trading can be hard sometimes. This is my first Guide. Enjoy!

    The Basics
There are many different ways to trade. Rarity vs. Rarity, Function vs. Function( Modded Items) and so on. Trading by rarity is not recommended because if you are trading things that are different like Block vs. Seed or Seed vs. Clothing, it will be very inaccurate most of the time. It is best to go by your instinct and what you feel is right.

    Trading Using Locks
Who cares? World Locks will pretty much get you anything. Enough Said.

    How Not to Over Trade
Usually, people will make you pay more than what the item is actually worth, which isn't good at all. To prevent that look closely at the rarity and the quantity and ask yourself, Is it worth it?, Does my Item(s) Match the value? You can also compare what it is If It's the same type your trading(Seed vs.Seed, Block vs. Block, Clothing vs. Clothing). If you are trading the same type, It will make everything a lot easier because all you have to do is look at the rarity. If not, pay attention to the quantity, How many is he trading? Is it too much or too little? If the other person does not accept, find someone else. There are always better traders out there.

    Quantity
The amount of which you trade is as important as the rarity. It is best to go by rarity first then quantity. Traders will be immediately interested when they see Rippers or something. It is best to draw their attention with rarity then trade with quantity.

    Don't Get Desperate!
Don't show that your desperate for the item! This will allow the trader to know when to push the deal until you overpay. Don't say please or come on or I really need it. These are signs that allow the trade to know when to push the deal. You will usually don't notice that your are overpaying because your are really desperate for the item. Force yourself to slow down and think about your trade or act as if it is a normal Growtopian life. (Don't worry, I've been there)

    Compare Chart
    Blocks<Seed<Clothes
    (From my Point of view)

    Tips to Trading
-Don't Put your most valuable item out first! Put it out toward the middle.
-Don't pour out all of your items put a few down and slowly increase the quantity.(1 to 4 to 7 and so on)

This guide isn't complete so I will probably add more stuff in the future. I would like feedback. Thanks for Reading!

if you really wish to know how to trade know learn about supply and demand rarity does not matter in the trade business world of Growtopia. Meaning know what people want and know what people do not, because it is all a complicated process that varies and changes on a daily I used to merchant a lot and still do at times. Either you know how to sell things by experience of watching over price values of items, a large amount of people do not want something of similar rarity.

Heartbow is no rarity but the limited edition makes it the value it is at just like crystal seed is a high rarity even though value worth is so and so world locks world locks have no rarity but gem value.

marketing and trading in realty world and game world is a complicated progress that is complex.

I was basing these off of experince from other people and common sense. as for the heartbow and stuff, I wouldn't want to post something that I have little or no experince. It is my first guide so I will get better and better hopefully. Thank you for the feedback

Not to be Rude but, What If A person buys a "Merlin Hat"? I Don't think that's worth it to give a "Huge Lock". But, I think you only need common sense, eh? ( Common Sense isn't one of our body's senses)

If you have a stingy trader make them feel like they're missing out on an awesome offer:

    Him: more
    You: Nah whatever..not worth it.
    *Cancel trade*
Walk around the world saying "buying/selling____)
    *Make sure he sees you"

    Talking Nice guide!

You made a very nice guide there! It is really useful, informative and well said. To be honest, trading is one of my problems. When I am desperate, I tend to overpay for it, thus regretting it afterwards. And the rarity vs. rarity thing? (Or any other) That's one of my main problems. Some people say high rarity but useless isn't really good. But low rarity but useful is good. I think I learned a lot from this guide. Thank you for making it!
