    Default ClanLib 2.2.5 Release

    We are getting ready for ClanLib 2.2.5 release.

    Please can linux users ensure that it compiles on your distro

    http://esoteric.clanlib.org/~rombust/ClanLib-2.2.5.zip <-- For Windows

    (These files will be removed when ClanLib 2.2.5 is released)

    After a very long wait I can confirm that it does compile under linux (Specifically Fedora Core 12, 64 bit, kernel 2.6.32.21, gcc 4.4.4)

    However I have noticed several bugs while running or attempting to run examples. First when attempting to compile the ClanLib-2.2.5/Examples/Display/Timing example I get the following error message;

    Code:
    g++ `pkg-config --cflags clanApp-2.2 clanDisplay-2.2 clanCore-2.2 clanSWRender-2.2 clanGL-2.2 clanGL1-2.2` -pthread -c Sources/timing.cpp -o Sources/timing.o
    Sources/timing.cpp: In member function ‘int Timing::start(const std::vector<CL_String8, std::allocator<CL_String8> >&)’:
    Sources/timing.cpp:81: error: ‘pause’ is not a member of ‘CL_System’
    make: *** [Sources/timing.o] Error 1
    Secondly while running the ClanLib-2.2.5/Examples/Display_Shaders/Gaussian example there is a bug where when one sets the blur to be 0 the screen stops redrawing (there is no longer motion and there are some tears from incomplete redraws) When you set the blur to be a higher value after this (1-9) the ball resumes its postion in the correct spot where it should be, and continues to draw correctly.

    Sources/timing.cpp:81: error: ‘pause’ is not a member of ‘CL_System’
    That will be because it's linking the old libraries. You will need to do a "sudo make install". If you already did that, ensure the correct installation directory was used "./configure --prefix=/usr" depending on the distro

    Ideally the examples should link the clanlib libraries statically, without having to install them, but it's boring to fix them

    Oh... Sorry, alright I'll test again (later once I uninstall all the cllanlib stuff that was brought in via official repositories).

    Debian sid *.deb files for amd64 architecture can be downloaded here (for testing)
