Default 3D Scenes running at 5 FPS on iPad Simulator

I've noticed that even the 3D sample runs very slow in the 4.2 iPad simulator. Any idea why? Runs blazingly fast on the actual device.

I'm using your latest Irrlicht 1.7 port.

Maybe your graphic card is really bad.

It's pretty slow for me too. As a point of reference, here is what I get on my quad core 2.6 xeon with a NVIDIA geForce GT 120 on the RT3DApp (adhoc) example:

iPad Simulator (100% or 50% zoom settings don't seem to affect framerate):

    main menu: 31 fps
animated mesh: 61 fps (locked I guess, probably higher)
    terrain: 13 fps
    quake map: 10 fps
    3d scene: 11 fps

If and when I do a native OSX build for 3dapp, I'm sure it will fly (1000+ fps) like the windows native build does though. I suspect they are doing some emulation things with the Simulator that doesn't fully take advantage of the 3d card. (Maybe to emulate GL ES..)
