    Default Help Detecting Render Target

    Hi guys,

Maybe it's my browser but the Facebook Connect interface isn't working so I couldn't log into my usual account.

The issue I'm having is that some of my users aren't having OpenGL support on their video cards. Does ClanLib or ClanLib's OpenGL interface have any means to automatically detect whether or not I should set the target to swrender/gl1/etc?

    No.

It would be amazing for someone to create one to use as a ClanLib example

I think that it would be very very difficult to write.

Each target would have to output data to a framebuffer and to read it back as a pixelbuffer, then compare a "known" output. Then there is speed to consider and accuracy...

    Have it configurable, much simpler

Alright, thanks. I've already released a product with target selection as a temporary fix but I really would like to have it automatically detected. If I come up with something I'll whip up an example.
