Hmm, maybe. Is there a freely distributable word list out there?

Here is a beta version of Dungeon Scroll that supports seven languages. (English, German, French, Danish, Spanish, Italian, Swedish)

Dungeon Scroll Multi Language Edition beta

There are still some issues, such as converting the words to 7-bit (umlauts and things are removed) and the letter distribution and vowel count is still based on english, which probably isn't good.

But I'd like to hear any comments/suggestions.

Seth, I speak german so if you would like help with the grammatical syntax I can help.

This may not matter much, but the current setup would quite possibly be a little confusing for german speakers. When you can't use an umlaut while typing it is customary to add an "e" after the vowel in which an umlaut was intended. For example "der Fhrer" would be written "der Fuehrer."
If a german were to try this the word may not work unless the program could read the database and find the word regardless, so it might actually be less work in the long run to do a little bit of coding for the umlauts when possible to help improve the quality.

I downloaded and tested out the german part. Support for umlauts is definatelly needed and also fully translating some of the in game text wouldn't hurt either.

Are the titles for board members coming from WOT?
    I LOVE WOT

Umlaute are not needed but as rmcnew said, it would be nice to have ae and ue or oe instead.
Also, the distribution has to account for the language

    Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'm going to look for a (freely usable) german dictionary that already has them converted this way...

I think I already said it earlier, but it might actually be easier (and more professional), to put in a little work to just code for the umlauts instead of hunting for hard to find wordlist.
On the other hand I am not sure how you code or what your code for the game looks like, so it's up to you.

By the way, I forgot to mention that there is also a letter for two S's in german called the double-s, it looks sort of like a b, but it isn't. Looks like: = ss

Also, another site with more than a 100,000 word wordlist.

I put the link to the main part of the webpage, which was mostly in german, so incase you couldn't find the wordlist it is found here.

    http://wftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/Local/urz/ding/ger-eng/

It's free to my understanding, but is under a GNU license in which you might want to look at it.

    Hello,

I would realy like to do a french version.
I do have a 300,000+ list of word.

    What should I do ?

Could you please post the requirements for building our own localization ?

    I mean something like :
    - Words should be between 3 and ?? letters
    - No accent
    - No hyphen
