Yikes... only 148,000 on Med for me. But that was all with the mouse.

    Question

My best score so far on normal is Dungeon 37 with 17 dragons, score of 748,700. It'd be cool if there was some way to compare your scores against others, like a submit high score function.

Yeah I agree, a networked high score system would be nice. Especially if it had an option to enter a password so compare scores with only friends. (I've seen this on a few other games..)

The reason this is good is a game like dungeon scroll can be cheated too easily, (they could pause and use an anagram finder, or hack the highscore packet sending or whatever) so a way to compare only with people you know (and trust) would be nice.

I suppose you could theoretically solve the packet tampering problem with some form of encryption, but the anagram finder is a much more invasive problem. I guess it's sort of equivilent to going online and playing Yahoo chess with the chessmaster making your moves, I remembered people talking about that.

It's funny that you should mention the anagram software, I remember thinking that it would be fun to hack something out which takes the letters and can form words with them. Not for cheating, because I don't have the patience to cheat for a high score, but just for personal coding points. Eh, it seems like every time I'm interested in doing something, I can pick up 8 copies of it already made.

It would be fairly easy to create a program that captures the letters, finds all the words possible with those letters, then moves the mouse pointer around to make the words. I would imagine that you could get pretty far. But I wouldn't see the purpose in creating such a program for a game like this. Kind of takes the fun out of it!

P.s. am I the only one that plays Wizard mode only? Much harder..

Wow. I've only gotten up to Level 30 on Normal... hrm, what difficulty setting did you use?

I just completed a pretty crappy game (missing big words and losing oracle tiles left and right)-- *but* it went on much longer than any others so I ended up with my highest score to date: 2,727,100 Dungeon: 102 Difficulty Mode: Normal

I go in phases-- have been addicted lately but not able to spend more than an hr or two on it a day. This game took me three days to lose.

As for "cheating" .. haha.. if someone wants to win a game so bad that he/she pauses the game to go find another tool to generate words.. well, cheating is the least of their worries

Darn-- I forgot that the Refresh button was recently added. I would not have hit my high score without it so I guess my score doesn't really compare to the others posted.

    Oh well

    how many levels are there?
i'm confused... has no one got over 1,000,000 yet?
or maybe no one's sharing... i'm on level 98 and i've got over 2,000,000 points - i'm just wondering whether this is ever going to end??!
i need to finish! then i can sever myself from my addiction
