Now this is a common thing in the internet. You get those people shouting insults like "Hur durr, you autistic dog lol" or "lol autistic nub haha go back 2 preschool and learn 2 be normal lolol" and honestly, it sucks. Just saying. People who normally say that are those who look at it blindly, people who think that a disorder like autism means you are stupid, mind blank, Idiotic. Well if that's the case how can I type this?

Yep. I'm autistic.

Now before you tap that comment button and type something like "Nobody cares kk" just read on a bit.

Autism is more common then you think, at a 1% chance of getting it, it also comes in a few forms: Mild and High are some of the forms. My case is mild, so I'm more intelligent in some cases, yet I lack the skill of socialising and often say things that come out incorrectly. I also act different to others, focusing more on depth and stuff.

One of the things that my autism may have brung is the way I think. Most people apparently think verbally, thoughts just being words. When I think I normally have this small animation in my head, which helps with creativity and sometimes brainstorming.

Now the downside, like I said was the fact I have trouble socialising. I act as a kid, and say stuff I didn't mean to say, I also usually make conversations more awkward, and my short term memory stinks, meaning I can sometimes forget a full task given to me.

High level autism is a case where the brain can't work as well. Sometimes making learning incredibly hard, leaving a 3 year old mind in the body of a 10 year old. Other times it paralyses the body, yet makes the person more intelligent (Steven Hawkins).

Now when I said I had mild autism I kinda lied. I really have Aspergers syndrome (AS) and that links me to the socialising difficulties area.

Now other factors of disabilities (ADHD, etc) I will not go through and if you don't understand this, here's some links:
http://www.autism.org.uk
http://www.webmd.com/brain/autism/tc/aspergers-syndrome-symptoms
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asperger_syndrome

And finally; it is said that Albert Einstein and Bill Gates could possibly have had said disorder. Are they autistic dogs also?

Feel free to comment, but please; nothing offensive. This is more of a personal topic then a joking one. And if you lose support of me for being autistic then what sort of person are you?

Most people who call others "autistic" or "downy" (more offensive term of calling someone autistic) are really mean trolls.
If you (anyone, actually) do find anyone on the forums calling someone that, just make sure to report 'em to them to the mods.

I hear people with autism tend to be good at mathematics and other things. Are you good at those?

The problem is that those jerks don't think of them personally. I've met people from all sides of the autism spectrum, some of which became close friends. People don't understand that these are real human beings, with wonderful personalities and things like that. Also, announcing that you yourself has it takes guts, and earns you respect in my book, as people will just use this label to make fun of you.

When I was about 9 I was told that I had the maths skills of someone way older then me. When I hit 12 maths became less fun, and I lost focus in it making my skill worse. Today I can preform small sums in quick succession, and I also like to find patterns in certain objects. To answer your question I was good at maths, but then boring maths teachers game along :panic:

It doesn't matter what kinda disorder someone has, what matters is the person itself. I bet 99.99% of the people who read this won't mind, Liam and King ;3

I have depression and anxiety, and there's no up-side to them. However, I'm still very smart and I try to socialize as much as I can.
It angers me so much when people judge others off things they can't controlm such as race, accent, or birth defect.

I don't have trouble making friends but I'm anti-social. Also I don't have autism but I know what it is, etc.

I wonder how it came to be a "disability". It causes the brain to solve issues and proceed differently making some problems much easier than it should be. Making them smarter than most people on certain problems but communication isn't processed as well as others.

Autism is both good and bad so why is it labeled as disability? Its uncontrollable difference of thought

And autism is more than one percent locally. Thats a national average most likely

Usually what people see in autism is stupid, brain dead and an antisocial nerd. But when you think about it they have more upward traits then downward.

People just look at the bad side of life and ignore the good.
