Seth, do you really live in Fukuyama?

I thought you lived in Portland or something..
maybe you moved after getting married?

Where can I get melon soda?

We lived in Oregon (mostly Portland) for two years then moved to Japan. (Yep, Fukuyama!)

Melon soda is everywhere here.. the new 'Cream Melon Soda' is pretty good too. I've never seen it in the states... http://www.rtsoft.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

It's a trade though, I like root beer and I've NEVER seen that stocked at a regular store here!!

I think I would miss Jones Vanilla Cola.

What do you miss most about living in the states? The food? Tv? Gun Violence?

I suppose living there must be a good way to learn Japanese fast..

I miss good pizza.. and the tv here mostly sucks big time. There aren't many channels and the same celebrities are on every show and it's just annoying in general.

But the food and service here is pretty kickass overall. I mean, people actually RUN in malls, garage stations, etc while working.

is tv there really like in that simpsons episode where they go to japan?

please tell me you get simpsons there.
it would be sad if you didnt.

well, there's always downloading episodes off of IRC if need be I guess.

Oh ya. There are some good bands I've discovered in Japan, if you like the j-indie rock n' roll.
Check out these bands:
-Guitar Vader
-Yogurt Pooh
-Eastern Youth
-Jesus Fever

Japanese bands have funny names.
Hey, if you ever happen to walk into a Tower records there in Japan, and can find Guitar Vaders "Die Happy!" cassettes, I'd glady pay you some yen for them.

Guitar Vader are featured in the game Jet Set Radio (AKA Jet Gind Radio) and are a great band.
just wish I could understand the lyrics..

I haven't heard much Japanese music really, just the JPop you get assaulted with non-stop on every tv show. (morning musume, aiyu)

Haven't seen the Simpson's episode where they visit Japan, gotta get it.

This main RTSOFT server is hosted on a US server which includes this BBS so it should be pretty fast, but the license server (FQ, TLM, Toolfish etc), another web server just for the FQ games active list and our own FQ game is run from Japan.

Greetings Seth, you probably don't know and/or remember me, but I thought I'd drop a line and say 'Hi', from one of the old BBS Operators back when you lived around Independence. Nice to see you are doing well http://www.rtsoft.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Hey Jack, yep I remeber you and Brainy's Workshop, I called there at least once.. maybe I was trying to figure out if your LORD copy was legal or something. http://www.rtsoft.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif They were fun times.

06-03-2003, 03:56 AM
Hah.. Yeah, I think that was the reason you called, actually. I think I was even watching when you went into LORD and did some secret thing which revealed the codes I had input http://www.rtsoft.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Crap, I think I still have the original letter I got with the codes lying in a box or drawer somewhere (I'm a Pack-Rat). I was thinking of putting my Board back up sometime over Telnet, tho it probably won't happen, but I'm still thinking about it, hah.

Good to hear from you http://www.rtsoft.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif
