Hello, I want to start learn how to create games. Where should I start? I know a little bit what's programming, I use html, css, php, sql in work, but I have no idea how it works in games. I guess c, c++ or java is more kinda games dev languages. I found RPG Maker VX, do you think is it worth to check? Or It is just a kids toy?

Rpg maker has a ruby based scripting system (which most the people who use rpgmaker dont use) If you use rpgmaker only, its a kids toy and you'll get a replica of all the garbage games everyone made with it. But its also been used to make some pretty sweet stuff with its scripting system like a full fire emblem fan game somewhere.

I think you need to take the development classing and do the practice again and again....
