Deviantart is a website btw, that artists use to share their work. Not for making it. But GIMP is really nice, and open source!

Deviantart is an art submission website, guys. Unless you're talking about DevMuro, which in that case, I wouldn't recommend it.
Paint Tool Sai is probably one of the best drawing programs I know of, and many of the artists I keep in touch with use it. It takes quite a bit to master, as it has a lot of settings, but once you use it enough you'll understand how to do some pretty crazy stuff.

I use Paint tool SAI.
Photoshop is good, and GIMP.
Paint.NET is good for pixel art.

Thanks, I wanted to maybe start a business/do art competitions but I lack due to incapabilities of doing drawings/sketches rather than on Software

Being open source doesnt really mean anything to normal users doe.
Well it could mean that its more secure than normal stuff. But it will mostly benefit developers and collaborators

Id go for GIMP as well. Its my favorite photo editor kek
