Think of it this way, why would you want to hide your ip?

What if someone decides to hack me? Or threatens me with it?

I should have put should I download the VPN or no, I'll edit.

I don't like hacking in general, and my IP has some rather "weird" searches that I would not prefer others then the ISP seeing.

Let's pull our heads back down into reality for a minute. Why would somebody want to hack you, of all people, for no apparent reason?
There really is no point setting up a VPN if you aren't doing anything illegal, or anything that can get you into any sort of trouble.
My answer would be to not bother setting one up, and to just delete any "weird" searches from your history. (It is more likely for somebody to pick up your device and go though your history, then to randomly put in the time to hack into your computer to discover something of which they never had knowledge of it's existence).

Though, if you wish to proceed with it, nobody is stopping you, and there is nothing wrong with doing it. I personally cannot find a reason for it, although there aren't really any reasons NOT to either. It is all just opinion, and whether you can be bothered using a VPN or not.

I don't think anybody can hack you just with your ip.
Searches? Google searches? Bing searches? Yahoo searches? It doesn't matter.
I don't think people can get a list of everything you've searched with your ip.

Right now, I could use the [.img] tag to put a php file in here, and I could program the php file to take your ip and put it in a text file. Then I could look at it later.

No, see, these are *cough* pornographic *cough* searches that NO one did. I want a IP hider because when this was searched my family and me were out for supper. So, it may have been someone living nearby, or a random kid thinking it's funny to use another's IP.

Hacking wise, I don't trust the internet that much so yeah.

I never said I was going for it, just looking for feedback.

I'm trying to privitize my internet and stuff around it because last time it got real messed up. (Don't ask)

I doubt it'll happen again but again I'm looking for feedback.

Honestly, those picture searches are a LOT more common than you may think, and this really isn't anything to worry about.
It isn't like somebody is going to chase you down, find your house, and inform your parents on what you've been doing.
It isn't worth it for them, and is quite illogical.

If you're paranoid about not having one though, go for it!

I've read all feedback and come to a decision of no, I don't think I need a VPN.

Concerning private internet searching, you have windows as OP dont upgrade to windows 10 since it will focus more on internet related things.

I have heard it helps gaming performance.
