Hey Seth, have you ever considered making a batch application to compile the Lua scripts with LuaC?

The support is already integrated...

If you have, can you enlighten me on your experience/knowledge of it so I can implement it?

Yeah, this is on my todo list (http://www.rtsoft.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1277).

I plan to support smart compiling on the fly (compares filedates and only updates from source while needed) and also pre-compiling everything and killing the source when using the planned internal game packing utility.

Script parsing has just been so fast I haven't bothered yet as security hasn't been an issue yet.

My only concern is the networking library I am developing. It would all have to be scripted meaning players could change packet data and hack big time.

Ill look into this also if you don't get around to it.
