I was causually writing an detailed work of literature (a typical email) to my Phys. Ed. teacher because I was confused on the policy for uniforms and other fun stuff, when my mom glanced over my shoulder, and stood awestruck at my semicolon. She asked me what it was, and when I told her, she proceeded to order me to remove it. I cried for three hours straight. Semicolons…they…are my life. I do not know if I can live in a semicolon-free household.

More than average interest in numbers and letters may be a slight sign of autism, not that it's bad ot something...

You might consider programming, where you can get a plethora of semicolons!

(and they're necessary)

I…

Semicolons can be used: to join two independent clauses without the typical conjunctior or to separate longer items in a list (usually longer than three or four words).

If you forget just one semicolon, you're whole program is screwed over.

I don't like having a semi colon...more frequent bathroom breaks because I can't hold as much D:

Hooray to semicolons!!! :yeah:

It happened to me the other day.
I was making a program and I forgot a ; outside of a bracket. It also happened to be in a while loop so instead of it ending when instructed, it continued for a long time...

Semi-colons are just something that allows you to continue what you are saying for a longer time.

For example,

I have a big test tomorrow; I can't go out tonight.

I wish I could do that but I can't; maybe another time!

I wish Growtopia let dirt grow on trees; oh wait - it does!

The semi-colon separates the two from connecting. You could also separate the two into their own sentences, but it is not needed and the semi-colon does just fine.

" Semicolons Separate Clauses. Here's an example: I have a big test tomorrow; I can't go out tonight. The two clauses in that sentence are separated by a semicolon and could be sentences on their own if you put a period between them instead. " - Google.com

Ok so from what i know the OP was supposed to say "take out the semicolons" instead of "take off semicolons" which caused missunderestanding :/

Poor Joshie - our parents do not understand the importance of semi-colons.

(PS: My mother have never saw me write a piece of literature)

Poor Joshie - our parents do not understand the importance of semi-colons.

(PS: My mother have never saw me write a piece of literature)

I cannot even imagine my mother reading anything I write. There is complexity to tweaked anecdotes, and connotation in the simplistic flow of poetry — both go beyond the general comprehension that could divulge more of my life than necessary. :sweatdrop:

Though I do find comfort in writing. It is the most overlooked form of expression in my opinion. It is unfortunate that while I know I excel in a specialized area, it is neglected leaving me unskilled amongst the equally skilled tech wizards and artists. It is a shame that they do not teach expressive writing as a part of a curriculum — which is strange considering most authors take the path of fiction — because that truly is what makes writing intriguing.

But enough about that — my email was certainly loquacious but effective nonetheless. It is a shame I cannot use my favorite punctuation now.
