I have installed Dink Smallwood, but I am having trouble getting it run correctly. Dink moves to fast on the screen. If you hit a movement key, he goes to the other side of the screen. I have Windows XP and am running the latest version.

Hades, hi, I downloaded Dink Smallwood through www.gamehippo.com, I believe there's a patch you need to download to be able to run it on Windos XP. I'm not very handy with computers, but they might be able to help you there. Please have a look at the site. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I have tried these versions of Dink and they all do the same thing:

Cd version
1.06 Download off of Rtsoft's Page
1.07 Beta 3

I also tried to run Dink in compatibility mode and underclocked my cpu to 650 mhz. None of these things worked.

Play with your video settings, specifically the refresh rate. (this is kind of different for each card)

Basically what you want to do is 'sync to refresh' and put the refresh rate at 120 or below.

Now that the source is released, it's likely someone will upgrade the timing system it uses and release it... so hang in there.

OK, I enabled v-sync under the direct3d settings and it seems to be ok, although he is still moving a tad too fast. Thx 4 the help.
