Anyone else plays this game called CodeCombat? It's a game where you have to move your character by coding it, with an RPG style of game play. There are more as 100 free levels and some battle arenas + you can see leaderboards and clans. It's great to learn a programming language + having fun. Currently you can choose to learn: Python, Javascript, Coffeescript, LUA and Clojure. (If you're new to programming I'd reccomend Python or Javascript since they are relatively easy and widely used) You can play the game via: http://codecombat.com/play

I tried doing it with Javascript, but I couldn't help but feel like I wasn't learning anything.

I tried this yesterday. I went to the first level and it wanted me to call a bunch of methods to move the character. But I wanted to make a function. But apparently it doesn't want me to make a function because I can't put a space between function and my function's name. So it would be like

functionMiFunction(){
}

You gradually learn more javascript related things, functions only come after like 50 levels. There are also some challenging levels in between which are pretty fun and difficult.
