Singers. Rappers just place a simple vulgar word somewhere if they have any missing syllables. No hate, I still love rap, but ye. its just my opinion.

Not true for all rap, but when rappers just fill in syllables with random cuss words, rap songs just lose their meaning and intention.

No, they have incentives as to where they want their songs to appeal... maybe to a deaf man but still, the appeal is there.

The reason rap is so critically mixed is because the Top 40 crap is encrypting the much better rap artists, such as Kendrick Lamar. Yet Fetty WAP is so much better because the majority of the populace has a weird obsession with trying to be "cool" by singing his songs and swearing.

I listen to music like above.

Rapping takes talent, but singing is just better. I mean, I love rap; the lyricism behind the words put into simple contexts amazes me, but literally everyone is a rapper anymore. Frank Ocean (now in my siggy) literally started out rapping and now became a much better singer. Not to mention the vocals of Chris Martin are almost mesmerizing.

Of course, it goes without saying that singers can be just a lyrically inclined in rhythm. For example, the song in my siggy, "Pyramids," tells the history of women's roles in society, and then juxtaposes the whole concept with suggestive lyrics ("working at the pyramids" is not working in Egypt; the Luxor is a pyramid-shaped building, and "working" can be used lightly thereā€¦). Personally, I just find signing takes more talent.

Nah songs without words are the best IMO

But if I had to choose, singers.

I like all music, but imo rapping is just saying words quickly to background music. Also, being a singer, I see the beauty in both sides. Gotta go with singing tho, cos singing is my life.
