The student council runs a coin toss game during a fundraiser.

It costs $1.00 to play.

Each player tosses two coins and wins a prize if the coins match.

Each prize is $4.00.

After a few minutes the council realizes their mistake.

a)Why will the student council not make any money? Explain.


b)What could they change about the game to make more money?

This is a question on probability.
So to participate its 1 dollar
To land on head would be 50% chance.
And for the other to land on 1 side the sade would be 25% (Half of 50)
thats what they thought,but in reality, for two coins to land there is only 3 possibility either heads heads, tail tail, or heads tail. so the chances of winning is 2 out of 3. so they lose money.
Change? prize to 2 dollars for getting different coin landings
