Whats your opinion on growtopia current state. Do you think ubisoft is doing well? Anything you could change from there updates? Just kinda curious.

I'm curious as well, what's the opinion of one of the former developers? o.o

I'm no Seth, but the neatness of the game is now lost. Too many mechanics implemented monthly, each with their bugs or misspellings, inconsistensies and other peculiarities. If an old game could satisfy my perfectionism, the game in its current state wouldn't have me playing it if I would just discover it.

Sorry about that, I had a release.

I agree with you, every update starting around the Balloon Warz Update has had it's list of faults, perhaps even updates months before then. Eventually glitches just became usual and gt went from being a smooth cute game to a buggy, volatile game. If you happen to be a victim of the bug, you will need to wait generally weeks before your losses are compensated for.

He'd likely not respond since the contract he and Hamumu agreed to probably makes them not able to voice opinions, but it's really bad now imo. Seth and Hamumu are superior and unlike Ubisoft they actually explain what things went wrong and don't have over three security leaks.

And a lot more of auto ban glitches.

They had three security leaks? When?

They had a huge password issue when they reopened /beta, effectively meaning all people with fake emails or forgotten emails are huge bait without any way to save themselves. I believe something happened to Seth or Hamumu's account due to the password leak which has lead to no mention of GT by the original devs since then. There was another one where the website was hacked and messed up with even a message by the hacker (think it was sillycow) and it was never taken note of. Then there was a huge one which resulted in nearly every player losing their inventory items and slots and conviently on April 1st. One of the old moderators stated on Discord he has no idea what is happenning and if it's a due to being April 1st, he'll quit. It was really bad. We never got explanations.

Interesting. Do you think more of this stuff happened since Ubisoft took over? The mass inventory deletion sounds really bad. Did everyone get their items back?

Yes, because none of it happened when sethmumu were around. Another two attacks happened where the twitter got hacked and the entire forums got password leaks the other day, you can check info out on the gt forums but yeah. Sethmumu were superior. The worst they had was AV8R and it wasn't even their fault he got hacked and they took care of it quickly. Sethmumu ftw

Yea, I know what happened. I just found out last night. I was laughing like crazy. The devs were also getting roasted to oblivion by the users on the forum. Some people even said the hackers attempted to access their growtopia account. And another person actually got their gmail hacked, and he was trying to get it back.

The devs are not giving more info or responding to anyone. They really messed up.

What's your discord btw?

tbh casinos getting banned kinda sent this game to a downfall.
people used them wrongly aswell - it should have been colors instead of higher number. pretty sure he can answer one way or another

Hamumu on a livestream, in response to a GT-related comment:
"I don't know anything about Growtopia" - and then he moved on.

Or they just both agreed that the comminuty is :poop: and decided to not associate with it or the game, that's how :poop: it is, complete :poop:.
But that's just a theory, haha.

That would be pretty horrible. Selling your game only to have it turn :poop: then not care about it

Also, on one video he said that Growtopia was incredibly exhausting, being the single project he'd been working on, and he's glad to finally be an unchained indie developer again. I can't judge.

Still curious on Seth's opinion though
