View Full Version : more points taken then should be??

At least 2x tonight, I have played far better players and lost. The problem is, why am I losing so many points when playing such higher point players. Ie.. Went up against a 350 player, lost and still had 8 points taken. I don't mind losing points, but when I have won, I get no where that value. For that matter, they only gained 4 points. So why did I lose 8. They had a score of 350, and I am at near 150
am I missing something?

The amount of points you lose is a percentage of your current score (you can't lose more than 200 in one game though) and is not affected by the score of the people you're fighting. If you lost 8 and they only got 4, I suspect they had to share the winnings with someone else or it was a team game, otherwise they should have got the exact amount lost.

This has happened many times and I finally decided to get a picture of it for you to review. As you can see, I was playing 2 members with scores of 246 and 977. I had 174 at the time and my partner was so new that I am not even sure he was in the game. My question is why would I lose 9 points when playing members of this caliber? Anyway...picture is attached...fyi.

Blast07 is very right. This is totally normal and fair. It will do this every time. Just notice that you are lucky because if i lose a team game i lose 100 points.

Question (im sorry I really dont mean to keep bringing up issues)
I am wondering about the scoring. I am including a screenshot where I came in second and lost more points than the 3rd place guy who has 2x as many points as me. Is this right? Why would I lose more points when I placed higher and have less points to begin with?

Hmm, that looks like a bug. You should never lose a higher percentage in 2nd place than 3rd place. Thanks for posting that, will take a close look at my scoring code...
