I figure I'll work on a new version of the Keyhearse script event, and maybe release it tonight. It will have the following changes:

1) You will be able to buy anti-scratch paint at Di-Mart. It will work almost exactly like the padlock (and will probably be 6 gold as well), with each scratch wearing down the paint a little bit, until the paint wears completely off. If you get caught scratching a hearse with anti-scratch paint, you will still be fined the equivalent of a gold tag.

2) It will only add an event to the newspaper if you are caught scratching a hearse. It just clutters everything up otherwise.

3) The chance of getting caught will be vastly different. Luck will play a much smaller role (right now it is solely dependent on luck), but so will other factors. Like if you try to scratch someone with a higher ranking, you'll have slightly a better chance of getting away with it than if you scratch someone with a lower ranking.

If anyone has any other suggestions, or thinks any of the changes are pretty stupid, let me know.

I especially like points 2 and 3. I think your first idea is ok but if it's alot of work might not be worth the effort. 1 gold tag isn't much to loose and to have to key someone multiple times just to cost them 1 measly gold tag is a little overkill

How about instead of paint you make it a car security alarm and if you have one equipped there is a 25% higher chance the player won't succeed?

I finished it. Download it over at the FQ Mod Page (http://members.lycos.co.uk/redink1/fqmod/). I tested it quite a bit, and there didn't seem to be any problems.
