question arose. I do not like that on the Internet everything is publicly available. How can information be protected?

Information can be protected if stored on a secure data server, with an adequate firewall, blah blah blah.

There is another way, and it's to not put it there in the first place. Be careful about what you post on the internet, it never truly goes away. :)
