The lights are dim. We just had a blackout a few moments ago. The alarm went off, and a siren sounded in the distance. We got power back though.

Any suggestions on what to do during a blackout? Lol, of all things, I'm afraid of thunder.

EDIT: Need the tips now!

EDIT2: Another thunderstorm possibly tonight! Oh noooooooo....

EDIT3: MORE WIND AND RAIN...AND LIGHTNING!

Have a flashlight, candle, or any other alternative lightsource. Always have a cell with you.

Yes, and make sure your cell is charged. Also, if it is a thunder storm, make sure you stay inside, even if it is dark, and stay away from windows, since those are breakable. Also get off your un-needed electronics

Thank you all!

Luckily, only the lights kind of dimmed after the blackout, and the windows are completely safe from being broken. I feel sorry for those who suffered the fierce thunderstorm last night.

I use my iPad as a flashlight. :D

One more thing. To up the scariness (and give you insomnia) read creepypastas.

Best thing to do when you want to stay up instead.

Being scared for life is better than being killed with petty lightning. It has a long term effect, ya know?

I don't think you're supposed to go to high places or near trees anyway...

Not sure if this thread is closed, sorry, but em, stay away from doors if they have a metal lining, do as what the others have said, play something to get your mind off the storm. #SorryForThePeopleInTheFierceStorm <~ Long hashtag :whistling:

We had a round of T-storms yesterday; what state do you live in?

Go outside. In the rain. Run. Climb a tall tree.

NO. That's a perfect way to spend the rest of the week in the ICU with electrocution and 3rd degree burns.

Flashlight. haha. We have a hurricane coming for the 4th of July soon and I'm not even ready yet. Yikes!

Don't think of little demon kids crawling toward you. Chanting Mary had a little lamb demonically. :sweatdrop: That won't help. hehehe.

I saw a TV show about that. Something about paranormal activities and then a girl being possessed or something. I'm serious, if a little girl would do that, I would slap her and say "Nope"

Then it most probably was the line that hit us, too (I'm in Maryland).

Why are you on, get off, you might short circuit it.

Power-surges (http://www.abc.net.au/science/articles/2013/06/11/3760939.htm)

No need for this thread at all. Stay away from windows.

If you ARE using a device, I have no idea why you would post something like this, just wait the storm over, it's just a little lighting

(Yus most of us ARE afraid of thunder but that's no excuse)

Still suggesting reading creepypastas. But it has a side effect. Smile Dog will look from the window and say....
