It was a school day for Ty Smalley. Another day to look forward to getting picked on by this specific bully. He went to school, however, for he knew he needed education.
Ty entered the building and sat down at a table. He was a country boy, and his school served them breakfast at their cafeteria (or they could bring a sack lunch... their own decision). As always, as Ty sat down and opened his breakfast, someone came. The bully.
The bully was a big boy. Ty was small for his age. When he reached the table Ty was sitting on, the bully threw Ty's breakfast around, spilling the milk on Ty's head and dumping the food on the table. This time, however, Ty had a shift in thought. He'd had enough. It was time for him to fight back.
That was exactly what he did.
A teacher found Ty Smalley retaliating the bully, and reported him to the school office. Later that day, Ty was called to the office, where the principal suspended him from going to school. His dad came over and picked him up, dazed and shocked at what he heard has happened.
Ty's dad dropped him off at his house, then left. It was time for his dad to go to work. Ty went straight to his bedroom. His mom was in the house, busy with her house-work. And then, she heard a scream coming from the direction of Ty's room.
Ty's mom raced to the room, and went wide-eyed at what she saw. Ty was lying on the floor, dead and with a hunting gun in his hand. Blood oozed out from his body.
She immediately called Ty's father and screamed at the top of her lungs. When the father asked what was wrong, she continued to scream. Finally, she stopped screaming. She was able to cry out the words: "He's dead."

Ty Smalley was small for his age. He was a nice kid and always had a big smile on his face. His classmates always remembered and will always remember his smile. However, Ty's dad, Kyle, is not done with this issue. He still fights today to end bullying. He always fights for his kid back.
At age 11, Ty Smalley shot himself and died. We will always remember him.
