So apparently there is a disease called Ebola and it is spreading...Quickly. I read that 2 patients were flown from Africa to here(Americans)and they have Ebola. Currently they are being held in Atlantis. If these people get out...Make contact with others, we might fall. Like many people are saying, make a hashtag. Well this is really serious. However there are 5 reasons not to panic. And well, let us hope for the best!

If it's really THAT dangerous and stuff, shouldn't they restrict traffic in and out of places infected with it?
I know I saw a picture on Imgur of a plane going from Africa to somewhere, where the staff is wearing some kind of hazmat suit.

One thing to insta:

You're talking 'bout AIDS (A.K.A HIV). Not Ebola.

Wikipedia taim !

''HIV / AIDS (Virus)''

The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is a lentivirus (a subgroup of retrovirus) that causes the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS),[1][2] a condition in humans in which progressive failure of the immune system allows life-threatening opportunistic infections and cancers to thrive. Without treatment, average survival time after infection with HIV is estimated to be 9 to 11 years, depending on the HIV subtype.[3] Infection with HIV occurs by the transfer of blood, semen, ******l fluid, pre-ejaculate, or breast milk. Within these bodily fluids, HIV is present as both free virus particles and virus within infected immune cells.
HIV infects vital cells in the human immune system such as helper T cells (specifically CD4+ T cells), macrophages, and dendritic cells.[4] HIV infection leads to low levels of CD4+ T cells through a number of mechanisms, including apoptosis of uninfected bystander cells,[5] direct viral killing of infected cells, and killing of infected CD4+ T cells by CD8 cytotoxic lymphocytes that recognize infected cells.[6] When CD4+ T cell numbers decline below a critical level, cell-mediated immunity is lost, and the body becomes progressively more susceptible to opportunistic infections.

''Ebola (EVD) Virus''
Ebola virus disease (EVD) or Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF) is the human disease caused by the Ebola virus. Symptoms typically start two days to three weeks after contracting the virus, with a fever, sore throat, muscle pains, and headaches. Typically nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea follow, along with decreased functioning of the liver and kidneys. At this point, some people begin to have bleeding problems.[1]
The virus may be acquired upon contact with blood or bodily fluids of an infected animal (commonly monkeys or fruit bats).[1] Spread through the air has not been documented in the natural environment.[2] Fruit bats are believed to carry and spread the virus without being affected. Once human infection occurs, the disease may spread between people as well. Male survivors may be able to transmit the disease via semen for nearly two months. In order to make the diagnosis, typically other diseases with similar symptoms such as malaria, cholera and other viral hemorrhagic fevers are first excluded. To confirm the diagnosis blood samples are tested for viral antibodies, viral RNA, or the virus itself.[1]
Prevention includes decreasing the spread of disease from infected monkeys and pigs to humans. This may be done by checking such animals for infection and killing and properly disposing of the bodies if the disease is discovered. Properly cooking meat and wearing protective clothing when handling meat may also be helpful, as are wearing protective clothing and washing hands when around a person with the disease. Samples of bodily fluids and tissues from people with the disease should be handled with special caution.[1]
There is no specific treatment for the disease; efforts to help persons who are infected include giving either oral rehydration therapy (slightly sweet and salty water to drink) or intravenous fluids.[1] The disease has high mortality rate: often killing between 50% and 90% of those infected with the virus.[1][3] EVD was first identified in Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The disease typically occurs in outbreaks in tropical regions of Sub-Saharan Africa.[1] From 1976 (when it was first identified) through 2013, fewer than 1,000 people per year have been infected.[1][4] The largest outbreak to date is the ongoing 2014 West Africa Ebola outbreak, which is affecting Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Nigeria.[5][6] As of August 2014 more than 1750 suspected cases have been reported.[7] Efforts are ongoing to develop a vaccine; however, none yet exists.[1]

Does Swine Flu have a 90% chance of death?
Because the Ebola Virus does.
Also, Ebola has no treatments. The only "treatment" would be to drink slightly sweet and salty water, but still, 90% of people who contact the Ebola Virus Disease die.

Worst decision ever? People hear need to educate themselves. It would be much easier finding a cure in the US instead of a third world country like Africa. If we just leave it in Africa and don't find a cure or a way to slow it down it can quickly spread. The US isn't the only one who is trying to find a cure, a patient got transported to Spain as well.

You shouldn't worry so much. Ebola is speeding trough body fluids and since Europe and America has cleaner city's their is a low chance of spreading. There was never any airborne case of Ebola. Africa was an easy target for Ebola because city's are dirty and many people are poor so they don't take showers and so on. Fact: Did you know that if you would successfuly fused Ebola with a few other viruses you could get a virus with zombie symptoms?
