Post Using configure.exe / ClanLib with visual studio 2010

It is possible to use ClanLib with Visual Studio 2010, but it requires some manual upgrade work, since it is not supported out-of-the-box using the configure application yet.

    Steps:
    - Generate a 2008 sln using configure.exe
    - Open clanlib.sln and make visual studio 2010 convert it.
    - Select all projects at once, and right click Properties.
    - Under General, you will need to fill out the Target Name for each solution configuration (and this depends on which ones you included in the configure app).

    Here are my settings:

Static lib with static debug runtime:
    clan$(ProjectName)-static-mt-debug

Static lib with static debug runtime and unicode build:
    clan$(ProjectName)-static-mt-uc-debug

Static lib with static release runtime:
    clan$(ProjectName)-static-mt

Static lib with static release runtime and unicode build:
    clan$(ProjectName)-static-mt-uc

Thanks for this. I ended up doing the same thing a few months back, but I didn't think to use the ProjectName macro so I had to manually set the target names for every project . It was such an arduous process that I haven't been able bring myself to update to the latest version since then, so the posted method means I can finally update again!

Since ClanLib 2.2 SVN rev 4738 separate unicode builds were removed. So the updated project settings are now as follows:

    DebugMT:
    clan$(ProjectName)-static-mt-debug

    ReleaseMT:
    clan$(ProjectName)-static-mt

ClanLib 2.2.3 now fully supports Visual Studio 2010, and these manual steps are no longer required.
