Just thought I'd mention that you can play the full version of Dungeon Scroll for free on the web at www.dungeonscroll.com. (should work ok on desktops, tablets or phones)
So no reason not to go set a high score!

I actually love this game! It reminds me of a childhood game from PopCap called Bookworm Adventures, but this is much harder and an actual challenge. It punishes the player for wasting high-value words on easy foes.
I scored around 100k on Normal. I am definitely going to try to beat that though.

Ay, Seth, you call that a boss? It was a one-shot with the word "ROUGES" using a few damage multipliers. Guess I need to try the hardest difficulty.
Turtles are a pain. They are strong enough to withstand a four-letter word, but force you to waste a five-letter word to deal with them quickly. That is the real boss.
That was just testing the waters (and pretty poor luck, as it turns out). Try nearing 400k!
As it turns out, one will need as many luck upgrades as possible because options are far more powerful than a measly damage boost tacked on (which evidently, is nearly negated anyway near the end of the game).
ALSO: I love the visuals when certain words are made. "Duck" and "Rat" I have found so far...not sure what other ones there are.
ALSO ALSO: Squishing the spiders on the title screen is fun.

Thanks for the comments, I fixed the database warnings and made the web page version of the high scores format a bit better.
There is a good reason for that...I actually love this game! It reminds me of a childhood game from PopCap called Bookworm Adventures
