    Default Figure THIS Riddle Out!

One day, a man was called into court (in 2008) He was accused of robbing a bank.
The judge asked him, "Where were you yesterday when the crime happened?"
The man answered, "I was celebrating my birthday, at my parents house"
Was the man guilty or not and why?

The correct answer will be revealed tommorow, if no one gets it right. :3
Evaluate the question correctly BEFORE tommorow and get a little gift.
    Think.

I'm seeing some smart answers :3

Edit: You need both to be right cause i'm sure some peeps are gonna choose guilty and some not.
Both have to be at least close!

    HINT: Four

Is this a yes or no question?
Anyway, the answer is yes, he is guilty, I think.
1st reason: The judge did not mention what time the crime happened, yet he could answer that he was celebrating his birthday with his parents, which was really odd, as the party couldn't have lasted from morning till midnight.
I hope I got close to the answer.

His parents house is above the bank so he went to the bank when they jumped out and spurred him a cop was walking by and thought he was robbing the bank

    Sorry Maple.
Will we still win if we get the reasons wrong but the answer right?
Edit: My answer is edited, added reasons. It's the 3rd post of this thread.

This riddle lacks too much information for a logical answer (from my point of view, at least). It depends where his parents' house was, when (what time) he celebrated it, and, yeah.

I have a feeling that the year he was called into court is relevant, as you wouldn't have mentioned it if it weren't. Or maybe it's just my complicated mind.

Do you mean that you need to have a reason for both him being guilty and innocent? Hmm.

Well, I would use an answer similar to maplepro's, but he already took it. Erm..

    Guilty:

    - Suspicious, the judge didn't say what time the crime happened, but the man answered right away

    - Perhaps his parents' house was near the bank and he robbed the bank for birthday money

    - Perhaps his parents have passed away already

    Innocent:

    - He's telling the truth

    - He's terrified and making an excuse, but he is innocent, he just happened to be found near the bank at that time

Eh, that's all I can come up with, but really, none of them have a logical reasoning behind them, they're just assumptions. An alternate answer I came up with is:

Who cares if he was guilty or not, it happened in 2008 and should be well over by now.
